Event video production that works all year
Recap films, speaker clips and social cuts from one in-house crew, planned before the doors open and edited fast enough to post while people are still talking.
Event video production from Colt Concepts gives you a recap film, speaker clips and social cuts from one event, planned before the doors open and filmed by one in-house crew. The footage keeps selling your next event, your sponsors and your brand long after the room empties.
01 Plan: How do we plan an event shoot?
We plan in four steps before the doors open: goal, run of show, interview slots and shot list. The goal decides everything else. Selling next year's tickets needs crowd energy, keeping sponsors needs their logos and people on camera, and building a speaker's profile needs clean audio from the stage.
Then we work through your run of show and mark the moments that can't be missed. We book interview slots so guests aren't caught mid-conversation, and we build a shot list that the crew follows on the day. To start your own, use our video shot list template.
02 Crew: Who's on the crew on the day?
One in-house crew films and edits your event, so nothing gets lost in a handoff. The people who planned it are the people behind the camera and in the edit. They already know which speaker matters, which sponsor needs coverage and which moment is the one you'll use in the recap.
Live events don't follow scripts, so the crew adapts. When a 3Natives script wasn't landing on set, we scrapped it and brainstormed five new ad concepts on the spot. The same instinct works on an event floor when the schedule slips or a better moment turns up. Clean sound matters as much as the picture; here's how we record clean audio on location.
03 Prep: What should you send us before the event?
Send us five things at least a week out: the run of show, a venue contact, the speaker list, the sponsor list and your must-get moments. They turn into the crew's plan for the day.
- Run of show. Times for every session, speech and reveal, so we know where to be and when.
- Venue contact. Someone who can answer questions about load-in, power, parking and where the crew can set up.
- Speaker list. Names, talk times and which talks you want clipped.
- Sponsor list. Who needs to be seen on camera, and any logos or booths to capture.
- Must-get moments. The few shots you'd be upset to miss, like a toast, an award or a product reveal.
04 Speed: How fast is turnaround?
Rush clips can be ready in 24–72 hours, and standard edits take 1–3 weeks. Tell us which edits have to come first, and we'll cut those first. Usually that means a handful of rush social clips, with the full recap film on the standard timeline.
05 Price: What does event video production cost?
A half-day shoot starts at $1,500, and a full day starts at $3,000. Social and short-form cuts start at $1,500. Your quote depends on how long the event runs, how many crew you need and how many edits you want. You'll see the full scope before you book. For the bigger picture, see what video production costs.
- Half-day shoot: starting at $1,500
- Full-day shoot: starting at $3,000
- Social/short-form cuts: starting at $1,500
06 Kinds: What kinds of events do we cover?
We cover live events where the moment matters and the footage has to keep working afterward, from race weekends like the NYC Marathon to brand moments and launches. The plan changes with the goal: some events need the crowd's energy, some need clean speaker audio and others need sponsors and partners on camera. We scope every event around what you'll use the video for. Planning a franchise discovery day? Read our guide to franchise discovery day video.

07 Result: Can you deliver inside a live event window?
Yes, and our Brooks Running work shows it. When creator and athlete Nic Vans ran the 2025 New York City Marathon for Brooks Running, we had hours to capture the story, not weeks. We built the concept and script before race day, ran a lean crew through marathon weekend and finished the edit in Florida. The finished film was delivered in under 48 hours from race day. It reached 820K views and 2,500 comments while the marathon still had attention.

Compare what each quote covers, not just the total. Check crew size, audio, how many edits you get, how fast they arrive and who handles planning. A production company quote usually bundles planning, crew and editing in one price.
