BROOKS RUNNING

48 Hours, Two States, One Marathon Film

2025ยทConcept, Scriptwriting, Video Production, Editing

A brand film for Brooks Running and Nic Vans, produced around the 2025 New York City Marathon and delivered inside the race-weekend window.

When creator and athlete Nic Vans ran the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon for Brooks Running, the window to capture the story was measured in hours, not weeks. Marathon content lives and dies with the moment: the race happens once, the online conversation peaks within a day, and a running brand either shows up in that window or watches it pass. Brooks needed a marathon video that felt native to the event and polished enough to carry a national partnership. We built the concept and script before race day, ran a lean production crew through marathon weekend in New York City, and completed the full edit in Florida, delivering a finished brand film in under two days.

This was a race-weekend video production built for speed without giving up craft. Working with Nic Vans and Brooks Running, we handled every stage in-house, from creative direction and scriptwriting to on-the-ground filming and post-production. The result is a New York City Marathon film that captured Nic's run, kept Brooks at the center of the story, and reached a large audience while attention around the event was still at its peak.

The result: 820,000 views and 2,500 comments. A Brooks Running brand film delivered while the New York City Marathon still had the internet's attention.
