Google Ads management, with the ads made by the same team
We research, build and tune your campaigns, and we shoot and edit the video and ad creative they run on, so the ads and the account improve together.
Colt Concepts offers Google Ads management with the creative built in: we run your Search, Performance Max and YouTube campaigns, and the same team shoots and edits the ads those campaigns serve. You don't have to brief a media buyer and a production company separately and hope they agree.
Our Google Ads management covers the whole account, from the first keyword list to the monthly report. Here's what that means in practice:
What our Google Ads management includes
Keyword and market research
What your buyers actually type, which terms signal intent to buy and which ones only burn budget.
Account structure
Campaigns and ad groups organized around what you sell, so budgets and reports line up with your business. Our account structure guide shows the thinking.
Ads and landing pages
Search ads written to match each group of keywords, pointed at the page that answers that search. See how we write Google search ads.
Negative keywords
A running list of searches you don't want to pay for, added from real search-term data.
Bidding
A bid strategy chosen for the goal and the amount of conversion data the account has.
Conversion tracking
Calls, forms and purchases tracked properly, so decisions rest on what happened rather than on clicks.
Testing
New headlines, new creative and new offers, tested one change at a time.
Reporting
A plain monthly report: what we spent, what it produced and what we're changing next.
Why the creative matters as much as the bidding
Bidding decides who sees your ad; the creative decides whether they act on it. As campaigns lean more on automation, the ads themselves become one of the few levers you still fully control. YouTube runs on video, and Performance Max uses video alongside images and text.
That's where we're different from a media-only manager. We produce ad creative in-house: scripting, shooting and editing, the same work behind our commercial video production. A few examples from our work:
- VV Sourcing: 33+ ads shot and edited every month.
- Dove Men+Care: 5 launch ad variations, still running 5 months later.
- 3Natives × Tyler Cameron: 5 ad concepts written on set when the original script didn't land.
When a test shows a hook isn't working, we don't wait on another vendor. We write the next version and cut it.
Search, Performance Max or YouTube: which campaign type fits?
Search fits when people already look for what you sell; YouTube fits when they don't know they need it yet; Performance Max fits when you have conversion data and creative in several formats. Most accounts start with Search and add the others once tracking is solid.
- Search puts a text ad in front of someone typing a buying question. It's the most direct route to leads, and the easiest to measure.
- YouTube reaches people before they search. It needs strong video, and it's where in-house production pays off.
- Performance Max lets Google place your ads across its channels from one campaign. It works best with clean conversion tracking and a full set of images, video and copy. Our Performance Max guide covers when to use it and when to hold off.
Who should own your Google Ads account?
Your business should own its Google Ads account. Google's third-party policies (opens in new tab) require managers to be transparent with the advertisers they work for, and Google Ads access levels (opens in new tab) let an account owner add a manager as a user and remove them later.
In practice, that means three things to check with anyone who runs your ads:
- The account sits under your business, and you know the customer ID.
- You hold admin access in your own name.
- The manager is a user you can remove, not the owner of the account.
If you're not sure who owns your current account, look under Admin > Access and security. It takes two minutes, and it tells you whether your campaign history would stay with you if you switched.
How Google Ads management works with us
We work in five stages: audit, build, launch, weekly tuning and a monthly report. Each stage has a clear output, so you always know what's happening in your account.
- Audit. If you have an account, we review structure, tracking, search terms and creative. If you don't, we review your market and your landing pages.
- Build. Campaigns, keywords, negatives, ads and conversion tracking set up, plus any creative the campaigns need.
- Launch. Campaigns go live with budgets and bids set for learning, not guessing.
- Weekly tuning. Search-term reviews, negative keywords, bid and budget changes, ad tests.
- Monthly report. What happened, what it cost and the plan for next month, in plain language. Our guide to tracking paid media ROI explains what we measure.
What does Google Ads management cost?
Google Ads management is a custom quote, and it's a separate bill from your ad spend. You pay Google for clicks directly; you pay us for managing the account.
That split matters when you compare managers. Ask each one to put three things in writing: the management fee, what it includes and how it's calculated. Then compare like for like, not headline number against headline number.
The fee depends on how many campaigns and campaign types you run, how much tracking work is needed and how often the account needs new creative. If you need ads made, our production prices are published:
- Commercials and ad spots starting at $5,000
- Short-form social video starting at $1,500
Tell us about your account and we'll scope it with you.
Signs your current account isn't being managed
An account that's being actively managed shows it in the change history and the search terms. If you see these, your ads are probably running on autopilot:
- The change history is quiet. Weeks without edits to keywords, bids, negatives or ads.
- The search terms report is full of junk. Searches that have nothing to do with what you sell, still costing money.
- The ads haven't changed in months. Same headlines, same creative, no tests.
- Conversions aren't tracked, or are counted twice. If no one can tell you what a lead costs, no one can improve it.
- Reports show clicks, not outcomes. Impressions and click-through rate without calls, forms or sales.
- You can't get into the account. If you don't have admin access, fix that before anything else.
None of these needs a new manager to fix, but all of them need someone paying attention.
FAQs
Google Ads management is quoted per account, and the fee is separate from your ad spend, which you pay Google directly. If you need ads made, commercials start at $5,000 and short-form social video starts at $1,500.
A Google Ads specialist researches keywords, structures the account, writes ads, points them at the right landing pages, adds negative keywords, sets bidding, tracks conversions, tests new ads and reports on results.
You should. Google's third-party policies treat each account as belonging to one advertiser, and Google Ads lets the owner grant and remove access by level. Ask any manager to work inside an account under your business with admin access in your name.
It depends on your market, how competitive your keywords are and how many conversions the account needs to learn from. We'll talk it through on a call before recommending anything.
Yes. We shoot and edit ad creative in-house. Commercials and ad spots start at $5,000, and short-form social video starts at $1,500.
